Accommodations
We have rented Dunton Hot Springs, a very special Relais & Chateaux resort, for the weekend, and this includes accommodations and meals.
Each accommodation is unique and beautiful, and we have carefully selected your room and, in some cases, cabin-mates, to make everyone comfortable.
All guest accommodations will be on-site at Dunton Hot Springs. The Dunton staff will help you with your accommodations upon check in on December 12 at 3pm.
We ask that guests make a small contribution for the weekend. See our RSVP section on how to do that.
Hot Springs & Spa Services
Dunton’s natural hot springs pools are accessible to guests at any hour of the day. The springs are of the calcium bicarbonate type with a strong concentration of dissolved iron and manganese and a little dash of lithium. Bathing in bicarbonate water assists opening peripheral blood vessels and helps to improve circulation to the body’s extremities and magnesium converts blood sugar to energy and promotes healthy skin (attire: bathing suits, dark in color; avoid white/light colors - the iron might discolor the material)

Winter Experiences at Dunton
Winter is a magical time to visit Dunton, and this winter is made even more special with our new Winter Activities Program. Strap on a pair of snowshoes and explore the serene San Juan Mountains; climb into Dunton’s very own Snow-cat and scale to 10,000 feet for a day of snowshoeing or cross-country skiing on trail laid out by former Olympic Nordic skier Wendy Wegner; or enjoy a winter wonderland experience at Dunton River Camp where the adventurous can delight in a number of winter activities and all can spend a cozy, comfortable afternoon nestled by the fire in the River Camp’s Farm House enjoying hot chocolate, board games, and a warm lunch celebrating life’s simple pleasures. You have the opportunity to do as much or as little as you choose, without feeling guilty.
SAUNA & HOT TUB: cedar barrel sauna, hot spring bath house with hot pool and cold plunge and additional natural hot spring pools outside (attire: bathing suits)
Things to Know
Some things to remember when packing:
• The average temperatures for Dunton in December range from 10 to 40 degrees with a median average high temperature around 31°F and the average low is 11°F.
• The ceremony will take place outside, so please be prepared with layers.
• For those planning to soak in the natural hot springs, bring a darker colored bathing suit as the iron can discolor whites
• All cabins come with a range of Aesop bath and body products
